~Fredericksburg~

This past weekend Joe and I went to Fredericksburg for my birthday and an early anniversary get away. We had wonderful time. We shopped on Main street, of course, ate at several different places, and went to the Rock Box theater. It was Joes first time going to that part of the hill country, but it was a first for both of us to go to the Rock Box. We highly recommend it, it was good clean fun. They do a music act with a bit of comedy.... A blast!!!

Joe and I at a local old fashion ice cream shoppe.

"Joe, smile!" at lunch, right before we left for home.

www.rockboxtheater.com, check it out!

We can't wait to go back, with several of our friends and family...

However, we are glad to be back home and to see Ayla, and she is glad to be back in her own bed, catching up on some sleep.
And if you were wondering, yes, this was the first time that Ayla spent the night somewhere else with out us. We were told that she did fine. She just didn't go to sleep as well as she normally does, so she got to sleep with granny. But of course she did fine and had fun, she was at granny's house, who doesn't have a great time over there. We missed her like crazy, but we did good... we just talked about her A LOT, there is nothing wrong with that, right?

~Rizzo Turns 1~

Rizzo here, just thought that I would get in on this too. Ya know, even though mom and dad always talk about Ayla, we still live here too. Yeah, we get "special" treats, and rubbed behind the ears every once in a while and we even get to have our own beds, but that's nothing, all we want is a little more love. So I just thought that I would take a moment, since mom didn't, and let everyone know that it was my birthday yesterday and I just graduated from training last Thursday. I know that they are really proud of Ayla and everything that she can do, but we can do some of the exact same stuff, so we really don't get it. Anyway here's to the dogs of the family... And Mardy thanks for hanging out with me on my birthday.

Me at 6 weeks old, meeting my new family.

Me now, at 1 year old.

Me hanging out with my best friend, Mardy. What can I say, a dogs best friend is ... well another dog.
RuttRo, gotta go, moms coming! And by the way, mom and dad did tell me happy birthday. I know that I don't give them much credit but they do a lot for us. Ok, ok, we do LOVE it here, we wouldn't live any where else, except for maybe granny's house! - Rizzo

~Spring Break~

We had so many things planned for Spring Break this year... Until... mother nature intervened. We were stuck inside the whole time. It was VERY cold and rainy most of the time. But we were still, however, able to be very adventurous...

We got to go camping...

We went to an art gallery...

We went shopping, of course...

We made a gourmet meal...

We went to the library...
We experimented with magnets at a science museum...

We rode motorcycles around the camp fire...

We even climbed mountains...

I really did enjoy our Spring Break. We got to do a whole lot. Next year mommy said that we might even get to go out side. - love, Ayla

~Week Plans~

Well this week is Spring Break for us - so I am going to try and add a whole lot more to this here website. There will be some back tracking pics, some grouping pics, and just some pics that are just down right funny. I am still trying to figure out some of this layout stuff, and I hope to make photo album links, so that I can add more photos at once. With all that said here are just a few snap shots that I just had to share.

~Fort Worth Zoo~

But in the mean time, enjoy a few photos of our recent trip to the zoo! Ayla loved it... Ok, ok, so we all did, it was a great day, perfect weather, perfect company, and it was right up Ayla's alley. I really do believe that she will pick a career working in the animal kingdom, what I don't know... but the thought of her having a career right now is mind blowing, it is way to far in the future to even be thinking about. So right now, we will just live day by day, enjoy every minute, and consider that topic at a much later time!!!

I also was playng around with our camera, so there are a few shots that I had to share with you. I thought that they turned out really well, concidering the camera and the photographer. - Enjoy!

~The Big Girl Cup~

Here we go, just another step into her world of changes. The "Big Girl Cup"!!! We tried to introduce the "cup" since she turned 2 in January, but she never liked the cup we tried to give her, she would flip. Finally, a cup she loves, she didn't even do a double take, she saw it, picked it up and started drinking. Go figure! And we are proud to say, no spills yet, knock on wood!

(A special thanks to The Rainforest Cafe, for allowing us to spend money in their gift shoppe, so that we could accomplish such a task.)
